After a long day of shopping on the Eastside (Echo Park and Silverlake) I had a chance to pop into my friend Arzu's Turkish boutique called Distant who specializes in handmade home decor items. Marina Del Rey Kitchen

We are getting closer and closer to finishing my clients kitchen. Tile is in appliances are all installed, (except for that tiny microwave we have been waiting on) and hardware is almost all installed. Looks like we have another week ahead of us! PHEW!

Thought you might be interested to to know that India Hicks is going to host the next season of Top Design and Todd Oldham will continue to be the mentor to the show. Kelly Wearstler, Jonathan Adler and Margaret Russel are coming back as judges. And its looks like the first challenge for the show is to redo a room for $2000 from thrift and hardware stores.

Seeking Intern

I am looking for an intern to help me one day a week (11-5pm) with my interior design firm. Board presentation, fabric, flooring, tile, and furnishings research, meeting notes, runs and errands for clients and vendors. Could turn into a paid part time position for the right candidate. Must know photoshop, pages, sketch-up and/or CAD. Must have a car (with current insurance) and a computer.

Have you guys seen these new decals from Blik? They have teamed up with a tee shirt company and have started a new line called Threadless where people can send in their favorite tee shirts and Blik will have the decals made based on a voting system through their site.
