New KIA Picanto

Jakarta - Korean car maker, PT KIA Mobil Indonesia this year sure will launch the latest version of its flagship small car, KIA Picanto. The new Kia Picanto has the look of a completely new engine with support for larger capacity.



"This year we will release all-new Kia Picanto. Not a facelift, but really new Picanto," said Marketing Director of PT KIA Mobil Indonesia, Hartanto Sukmono in the area the Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (01/26/2011).

As for the kitchen pacunya, 1,100 cc engine that is currently being held by the Picanto will be evicted switch with a capacity of 1.2-liter gasoline engine.

"Actually, we have two new engine options 1.0 and 1.2 but we will take a 1.2-liter. The capacity is 1250 cc," he said.

MCH itself has launched this new product in Korea, and will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.

When launched in the cage, KIA flagship car comes with 4 different types of machines ranging from engine 1,000 cc and 1,200 cc, an economical fuel.

In addition, this latest generation will not only use gasoline fuel only, but will be available machines that can use the bi-fuel (two types of fuel, LPG and gasoline) and flexible-fuel (gasoline alone or with mixture of other fuels)

"We'll bring the gasoline 1200 cc. The schedule of semester 2 later. If we wanted in IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show)," he said.

Steps to renew the look of Kia Picanto by Hartanto to maintain sales growth in Indonesia Picanto.

"Since its launch seven years ago, already 15 thousand Picanto in circulation. In the year 2010 Picanto experienced a significant increase in sales of up to 156 percent. In 2010 we could sell 4311 cars, whereas in 2009 only 1683 units. Target 4235 the unit was passing," he said
